Christmas Card Greetings!
I am so behind (as usual) in everything this holiday season......again! Every year I say to myself........"Next year, I will get this done early!" Yeah right.............LOL It never happens! But I always take a pic to put in with our cards. It's tradition that I started almost 25 years ago when Morgan was little. So the other night, I was trying to get a half decent picture of my tree lit (why is it that you can never capture how beautiful they look lit at night?) and I found a setting on my camera that makes the lights and everything else really bright and out of focus! Jadyn had just got her bath and hair washed and she was running around in those little footed pj's that I absolutely love! Isn't it amazing that all these years later (about 50 to be exact), that they are still in style??? They remind me so much ot the 50's and 60's!
So, when I uploaded this pic of her posing by the tree........I instantly thought back to those times and the black and white pictures and how some of them used to have like that double exposure effect. Remember those? Well, with this setting on my camera, this picture had that faint outline on the left hand side and those tree lights where so pretty! So, I went into my Paint Shop Pro and made it into a sepia toned picture and added the Merry Christmas! I logged into my Walmart photo account, uploaded it and added a black border trim to keep with the vintage look. Did the 1 hour photo (even though the walmart photo place was closed) and the pics were ready by 10:00am the next morning! Ahhhhhhhhhhh............isn't modern technology amazing?????? Thank God..........because I am so S-L-O-W!!!!!!!!!!!
So, Merry Christmas to all my friends, blog friends and anybody else who happens to stop by for a visit!

The 4th Annual PFATT Ornie Swap!!!!!!
(Banner made by Samiamcreations for Pfatt members.)
This year, I had the honor and pleasure of being in charge of the annual PFATT (Primitive Folk Art Talk & Tea) eBay group ornie swap! Every year for the past 4 years, my ebay group of Pfatties has an ornie swap at Christmas time. We each make 4 ornaments and send them to whoever is the swap queen. She waits until all the participants have mailed their 4 ornies to her and then she sends each participant a set of 4 different ornies. Then everyone anxiously awaits the arrival of their Pfatt sisters ornies to add to their tree! It is the most favorite of all the PFATT swaps!
Here's a pic of the ornies that I got this year and who they were made by...........
(From left to right: Frogcicle by Pam Gracia of SoftintheHead, my Enchanted Productions snowman ornie by Joyce Stahl, my Sparkly Snowman head ornie by Cindy Conrad of Pyewackitprimitives & Cindy Lou Whimise ornie by Christy Meyers of Ccswhimsies.)
Here's a picture of my tree with lots of Pfatt ornies from the past 3 years.
I had so much fun doing this! I felt like Santa Claus! A PFATT Santa Claus! HoHoHo!!! I hope all the other Pfatties post their ornies on their blogs so you all can enjoy looking at them too!
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!!

Sparkling Champagne Cork ornies on eBay.............
Joyce made me an ornament just like this for me after we came back from California for our PFATT get together this past spring. She had saved the champagne corks from our visit to Napa Valley Wineries and the glitter idea came to her after our magical visit to Wendy Addison's Theatre of Dreams.
We loved them so much that we decided to get together and make some to sell on eBay. Nothing like waiting until the last couple of weeks to get them listed is there? That's us two! LOL But we finally managed to get them listed and hope you'll stop by and take a peek at them!
Add some glitter to your Christmas tree, hang from pegshelf or cupboard knob or present this ornie along with your favorite bottle of bubbly to your holiday party host or hostess!
Click Here to go see them!

Pictures and a visit with the Jolly Old Elf..............
(One of these days Nana will remember that you can't do videos on the digital camera sideways........LOL)
Saturday was pictures with Santa day at the Tents of Grace Cafe in downtown Gnadenhutten. Our friend Becky Hart of Hart Photography has taken Jadyn's picture with Santa for the past 3 years now.
This year was the first that Jadyn could tell Santa herself what she wanted for Christmas, so we were really looking forward to hearing what she would say. Well..........do kids ever do what you want them to? LOL She was not too sure and she wanted her mommy. Santa knew that she wants a Hannah Montana guitar though! THat Santa...........he's so smart! As soon as that was over with.........she wanted her ice cream.
I'll be sure to post her pictures here when we get them back and "Thank You" Becky for doing this every year! And "Thank You" too Santa! Jadyn will be sure to leave you some cookies and milk on Christmas Eve and some treats for your reindeer too!

Happy Turkey Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you just imagine what it would be like to be able to go see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on Thanksgiving morning? I've been surfing google images for pics of this most fond memory. The smell of turkey and the TV tuned in to watch all those helium filled baloons, the bands, the Rockettes, the actors from the broadway plays, the famous singers and we can't forget the end.....the one that we all used to wait for to make his appearance!
That most jolly old elf!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

It Seems Like Forever....................
Since I listed something on eBay! LOL I've been so busy with the show and Fall Open House with my shoppe that I really haven't had time to make anything here lately. Throw in watching my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter 3-4 days a week and working at the shoppe too...........LOL
And people ask me if I paint while I'm at the shoppe............well I hate walking up to the counter with glue, glitter or paint on my body parts and or clothing. I am very good at ruining almost all my clothing if I'm creating. You would think that I would learn and wear either something that already had paint all over it or an apron but noooooooooooo................not I! I'm too impatient to take the time to do that! HAHAHA!!!
So anyhow..........I got this little cutie done the other day! YEAH ME! She's painted in acrylics on a coffee dyed hang tag and embellished with real german glass glitter, a vintage shoe button, hand made wire hanger and pages from an early 1900's book. I hope you like her and have time to GO VISIT HER on eBay!
Thanks for stopping by and for taking a peek at my art..........

Meeting a Fellow Pfattie for the very first time!
This past weekend, JoycEE, Kathy, Brenda and I went down to Columbus, OH to go to the From Our Hands Show and to meet P2 for the very first time!!!
Here's a pic from the show and P2's hubby Dan was taking our pics for us...........THANKS DAN! :-D
(From Left to Right: Joyce Stahl of Enchanted Productions, Pam Gracia of Soft in the Head, Brenda Ostrowski of Magic Garden, Kathy Hunka (rear) of Primsical Studios and me...Lori Davis of Vintage*Palette)
Pam's booth was absolutely amazing!!! After all the squealing and hugging we had to run over and start looking at all the goodies!!! Everyone starting grabbing at the same time too!! hahahaha!!! Decisions....decisions!!!! There is nothing quite like seeing a Pfatt sisters work in person! And Pam is one amazing artist!
Here's a pic of Brenda after she took down her dolly of choice and just in time as a man walked into the booth and told Brenda that he was on his way over to buy her just then! He was very kind and picked up his second choice............boy were you lucky Brenda! You didn't have to pull out your mace!! *giggle*
After we left the show, we went to check in at the hotel. Once inside we had to unwrap our goodies and put them all together for a Soft in the Head family photo! Aren't they adorable?????
We agreed to meet after the show and eat at the Cheescake Factory which was located in Easton Town Center. We only had to walk two blocks to get there. And I forgot to mention that the fall weather was absolutely perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better weekend! We shopped around a bit at some of the amazing stores and people watched too. Easton Town Center is like a whole little downtown filled with so many yummy stores! They say that it is absolutely gorgeous at Christmas time. I want to go back down and visit then too!
Here's the view of how close our hotel was. I took this one while sitting across from the Cheesecake Factory waiting on P2 and Dan to arrive.........
We had so much fun eating and talking during dinner! Pam and her hubby Dan are so much fun to be around!! And it's funny when you meet someone for the first time, yet you feel like you have known them forever? You know what I mean???
We walked back to the hotel then and invited Pam and Dan to stop by so we could continue getting to know them. We met in the gorgeous lobby and sat around and talked for a good hour and a half. We honestly didn't want them to have to go but we knew how tired they had to be after doing the show together. I know how all that pre-show stress is and you can't get any sleep and then the big day comes and when it's all over, you're absolutely wasted!!
So thank you Pam and Dan for everything! I hope you have a safe trip home today and that you enjoyed your trip to Ohio! We know that we sure enjoyed you being here and getting to meet you both! You are two very amazing people and such fun to be around!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you enjoyed your Ohio wine too!
And thank you JoycEE, Brenda and Kathy for going along and making this such a fun filled weekend! Can't wait until next time!
HUGS............

Trick or Treat at New Dawn.............
My daughter Morgan works at New Dawn and they have an annual Halloween party for the staff and their families every Haloween. We went there last night and it was Jadyn's third year going. Here are some pics that I wanted to share from last night.
Morgan and Jadyn in front of the fireplace in the entrance....
Playing one of the games............
Candy? What candy???
Trying on Nana's glasses..........
And the first time being a winner in the most original category for costume judging! She shook her pompoms when they asked for applause for the little cheerleader and everyone thought was so cute. Little do they know that she can really put on a cheerleading demo like no other 2 1/2 year old........LOL And if she had.........they would all still be sitting there as her audience.........just ask her Aunt Joycee!
We stopped at Aunt Joycee afterwards and she spoiled Jadyn since she never gets trick or treaters so Jadyn got all the candy in the candy bowl! Can you tell how much Jadyn loves her Aunt Joycee??
Joycee and Jadyn feeding Goo puppy her treats..........
Here's a few pics of her first two Halloween's attending the New Dawn party. The first one she was only 7 months old and in a stroller with her monkey suit........
Getting candy from one of the residents that year.......
And last year she was a little chicken..........
They grow up so fast.......it seems like just yesterday that we were pusing her down those hallways in her stroller.
I hope you all have a safe and fun filled Halloween!

Spooky Prospect Place Pictures................
Prospect Place is the 29 room mansion built by abolitionist George Willison Adams at Dresden, Ohio, in 1856. It is the home of the non profit G. W. Adams Educational Center, Inc. located in the Village of Trinway, Ohio, just 1/2 mile north of Dresden.
Prospect Place was a station on the "Underground Railroad" and was used to safely move escaped slaves to freedom. The property is listed on the National Historic Register as the "George Willison Adams House."
Prospect Place mansion is one of the most haunted homes in Ohio. With 150 years of paranormal history including sightings and strange activity this Dickensian mansion stands forebodingly in the rural Ohio countryside. They offer a complete paranormal experience for those willing - spend the night, sleep in one of our meticulously restored guestrooms and expect to be surprised by the more permanent residents (some of whom have been here for a very long time).
Two of my friends and I went down to tour the house last summer and these are some of the pictures that I took while we were there........
These are pictures of the outside of the barn.........
So much history and you can just picture what it must have looked like over 100 years ago..........
The sci-fi television show "Ghost Hunters" visited this same house and it aired back in April of this year.........
The side view of the house.........
This is the view looking out of the back of the copula...........
Pics from up in the ballroom on the third floor..........
The view looking through the door leading out from the second floor hallway......
Pics from inside the barn that is said to be haunted by the ghost of the bounty hunter that was hung from the rafters on the second story of the barn........
The arches in the bottom of the barn where the horses were kept.........
The decorative trim above the windows is made of cast iron......
Not all of the original shutters have survived over the years.......
These wooden corbels are just huge! I kept thinking.....what if one of them comes loose and falls?
The front of the house. The original porch is missing.........
What's more perfect for Halloween than a haunted house????
