Chicken Little
Last night was Trick or Treat Family Night at New Dawn Health Care Center where my daughter Morgan works. We went her last year when Jadyn was only 8 months old. What a difference a year makes! She was running the halls on her own this year where last year we had to take the stroller in. This is so much fun going here each year and to see the faces of the residents when they see all the children dressed up for Halloween is priceless! Some of them were passing out candy and as we walked by their rooms you could hear them saying "Look at the little chicken! Awwwwww......isn't she cute!" Jadyn would stop and say, "Hi!" and "Bye!" as she left each one, then run to the next door to peak in. She would stop while going down the hall to look down inside her pumpkin bucket to see what all she had in there and to make sure that she hadn't lost any of her candy and treats. They had games to play and she even got a little pumpkin tatoo on her hand. I think it's so wonderful that they do this for the people there! Afterwards we were treated to cider, doughnuts, chips and pretzels in the dining room. All children got a bag of candy and there was costume judging with some of the residents as judges. What a wonderful and safe way to go Trick or Treating!

When You Wish Upon A Star....Your Dreams Come True
Here's another adorable little cutie that I listed on Ebay last night for my good friend Joyce Stahl of Enchanted Productions. This little Halloween cutie is listed with a Buy It Now....so no waiting around! Her little dollies are just the sweetest things! Her talent never ceases to amaze me and I am so lucky to get to see them all in person. Thank you Joyce for having the imagination and talent to create your wonderful art!
Hugs! ~Nana

It's Almost Here!
Halloween that is!!! I purchased this adorable altered art necklace at the Dover Craft Show off of one of the sweetest girls! Jenelle O'Malley of Sleepyhollowcrafts. Her booth was adorable and both her's and her mother's art was so vintage looking and unique! I started my christmas shopping with them and of course, I had to have a little something for me too! This charming necklace is reversable! Two for the price of one! It sure doesn't get much better than that!

Fall Has Arrived!
This is the gorgeous view that I had out my window this evening! The sun was setting on this beautiful fall day and the black silohuettes of the trees made it seem even brighter. I just love fall! The leaves are finally starting to fall and you can see them drifting silently to the ground. We've been having unusually warm weather here in Ohio but the nights are starting to turn cool. Finally..........it's starting to look and feel like fall! =o)
My Halloween Heart in Hand Tag Art
I've had so much fun creating these primitive altered art tags to sell on EBay! I love to give them that time worn weathered look and the hand stitching that I started adding to them is so much fun to do! I use vintage paper from an early 1900's book and vintage style halloween scrapbooking papers to add the details. I also dig into my selection of vintage buttons for embellishments to add that extra special touch and make them more unusual. I hope you enjoy them too! Make sure you check out my auctions on EBay for more OOAK items. =o)

My Little Halloween Cutie!
Here's a pic of my little grandaughter Jadyn that I took in my shoppe and my sweet friend Sam of Samiamcreations altered it and put this adorable little clown outfit on her. I used these as the invitations for our Fall Open House at the shoppe that I co-own. I got so many compliments on how adorable this was! Thank you sweet Sami for doing this for me. I appreciate your talent and friendship sooo much! =o)
