A New Adventure...............

I mentioned in my last post that I had purchased some of the chunky little framed canvases from Dick Blick to play around with. I also mentioned being intimidated by them and afraid to start a project with them.....LOL Well I picked up the brushes and started to paint after thinking about what subject I wanted to go with on my first one. The little chunky 4x4's are so tiny that I decided to go with just a head...............

Around the outer edge, I cut and paste little penny rug tabs from an early 1900's book............

I then added little paper punched flowers and hand painted the leaves and stems.........

And last but not least, I gave her a face...................

Oh what fun she was to make! I've titled this one The Pumpkin Queen's Garden. Now I'm excited to create more!! =D This little one will be listed on eBay tomorrow evening. I'll be back to post her link after she goes on.

Thanks for viewing my little work in progress!

Click here to see her on Ebay..........

WONDERFUL!!! I, too have been intimidated by a blank canvas that's been sitting in my studio. You've inspired me to pull it out and have some fun.
